Is my friend with benefits interested in more?

ive been in this fwb relationship for a couple of months now and its been goin well so far. we get along and seem to like each other as friends and then there's the intimacy part, we've gone as far as but not as yet (even though he's asked me). we have long conversations and the other day he asked me what do i like about him. why would he ask me that question, is there an underlying reason or was it just out of curiousity? also we always cuddle and talk for hrs after and he always wants to kiss me! so confused a little help here please!!!
