I asked my spouse to consider a vasectomy. He said NO! What do I do?
Well, I am 4 months pregnant right now. I recently brought up the idea of birth control 2 my spouse, because I want us to be in control when or if we have a second child 3 or 4 years down the road. I have been on birth control since I was 13 for a condition that causes hormonal imbalance called PCOS. For me the pill caused gallbladder disease, and I ended up getting surgery last summer to take it out. Therefore, I am done with birth control and all the risk that come with it. So I asked my boyfriend, if would consider a vasectomy. I barely had time to finish the sentence because he said NO! Honestly, I feel a little upset, because I went through the trouble of taking birth control years before I was even ually active..Now he would not even consider doing this to make sure unplanned pregnancy is prevented. I also feel like condoms will not work because they are hle and I want to make sure I don't get pregnant. I have considered an IUD like Mirena, but again I don't like the risks. End the end, its his body his choice. I wonder if he is scared, or he will feel less of a man if he did this. I just don't think thats equal. Birth control should not be just a woman problem. Any ideas? Is a vasectomy too much to ask for?
