What does my dream mean?

I had a dream that I was getting followed- chased, actually- by cloaked figures, but they had no limbs, not even skeletal limbs, no skull or anything. I don't believe it was Jack the Ripper, or the Grim Reaper, because there was more than one. This was my first encounter with this type of dream. So, I'm very confused.
