Alot of pressure with contractions?

Ive been having contractions on and off for 3 days and they have been very close together about 3 minutes but end up stopping and getting less painful. Today ive been feeling alot of pressure everytime i have a contraction but im not getting much pain, whats this mean? I have dropped and babys head is engaged and cervix is soft, midway and im 1cm dilated well that was nearly 3 weeks ago. Ne advice from you would be really appreciated.
