Why are chevy Aveo cars cheap? are they bad cars?

Okay i should be a little biased because i am a total GM fan boy, however i only like GM because i believe they build great cars and the Aveo is not one of them. Like people above said, the aveo is built in Korea. Because of the large cost of labor here in the US, GM decide to build this vehicle in Korea where labor is much cheaper. however, that means that build quality is terible and because the entire vehicle was a half *** job it isn't a very good car at all. the ride is unrefined and the powertrain is no the best. the price is just about the only bright spot in the Aveo. the focus is slightly better, but you would be best going for a vehicle like the toyota yaris or honda fit. and someone said that the cobalt is a good car and although i agree it is better than the aveo, it still falls short of the competition like the corolla or civic. Small cars right now are not in GM or Ford's arsenal, if you are buying a small car i suggest japanese for now.
